Junior attack Hunter Pitman of the Susquehanna University Field Hockey team scored both goals in a 2-0 victory over Scranton in the Landmark Conference Championship to send the team to the NCAA Tournament. Pitman’s first goal came in the 15^th minute off a pass from defender Ciara Middleton. Her second goal, just less than 12 minutes later was assisted by AJ Smith.

Pitman received the Most Valuable Player award as Field Hockey won its first Landmark Conference Championship in program history.

The River Hawks will face Fairleigh Dickinson University in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 4 p.m. on Wednesday in Madison, NJ.

Pitman has earned the River Hawk of the week for her efforts.
