Volleyball Wins Six Straight Sets in Defeat of Wesley and Cabrini

Hannah Lyons recorded a combined 27 kills and Brooke Lacesa recorded 20 kills while Lindsey Pugh had 49 assists over two games to lead the Susquehanna University Volleyball team to a sweep over Wesley College and Cabrini College Saturday afternoon in Radnor.
 
The River Hawks (14-7), started the day off strong, not trailing at all throughout the first two sets of their first matchup against Wesley, winning all three sets 25-21, 25-10, 25-18. In their second matchup of the day the River Hawks continued their success against Cabrini, winning the match in straight sets, 25-21, 25-19, and 25-18.
 
Against Wesley (10-13), Hannah Lyons led the River Hawks with fifteen kills, while Brooke Lacesa added eight kills, and Sydney Portale added seven kills. Lindsey Pugh handed out twenty assists, and Lizzie Herestofa led the team digs with nineteen. Caroline Beohm also had four service aces for the River Hawks.
 
In the match versus Cabrini (14-7), Lacesa added twelve more kills to her total, while Lyons and Portale added nine and eight kills respectively.  Pugh recorded 29 assists, while Herestofa 22 digs lead the Susquehanna defense. The River Hawks recorded seven aces in the win with two from Lacesa, Bost, and Beohm, while Herestofa also recorded an ace.
 
The River Hawks continue play Sunday when they take on Johns Hopkins University and Arcadia. The first game is set for 3 p.m.
