SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University volleyball team beat the Green Terror from McDaniel College Tuesday night in a non-conference match up. "This match gave us the opportunity to get some of our other players into the game to see what metal they were made of and they showed it when we ended up finding ourselves in a hole in that third set.", said head coach

How It Happened
- The River Hawks (16-3) were able to combine for 43 kills to McDaniel's (8-8) 33, to claim a 3-0 victory.
- In the first set, Susquehanna beat the Green Terror 25-15, recording 11 kills and a .163 attack percentage as a team.
- The River Hawks dominated set two 25-12 as they tallied 14 kills to McDaniel's eight.
- The Green Terror were not going away quietly in set three. McDaniel led the River Hawks for much of the set putting SU down 15-9. After a rally that lead to a final set score of 28-26 the River Hawks were victorious.
- Coach Tom added "don't get me wrong McDaniel is not a push over team, they've got some good talent, good quality and a great coach. I look forward to seeing the development from that program over the next few years. I think they're going to be tough to contend with in just a couple years."
Inside the Box Score
- Rosina Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) led the team against McDaniel in kills with 12 while outside hitters Sydney Portale (Glen Mills, Pa. / Garnet Valley) and Natalie Arm (Jamison, Pa. / Central Bucks East) had seven apiece.
- Junior libero Lizzie Herestofa (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) lead the defense with 19 digs while Caroline Beohm (Lancaster, Pa. / Garden Spot) and Kasey Bost (Eldersburg, Md. / Liberty) were also in double digits with 12 ad 10 respectively.
- Brooke LaCesa (York, Pa. / Eastern) lead the team in blocks with 3.
- McDaniel's leaders were Marlowe Embry and Emma Lorenzen with eight kills and Kendall Hanak with 16 digs.
