SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Following Saturday's first Landmark Conference loss of the season, the Susquehanna University women's soccer team (10-3-1, 3-1-0 LC) responded with two second-half goals to blank Juniata College (2-9-2, 0-4-0 LC), 2-0, Wednesday night. Sophomore forward
Anna Werner (Mohnton, Pa./Mifflin) paced the River Hawks in the win with a goal and an assist.

How It Happened
- The River Hawks outshot Juniata, 15-1, in the first half but Cati Besch kept SU off the scoreboard with five saves. In addition, Werner hit the crossbar twice.
- Following a scoreless first half, Werner found the back of the net with her team-leading 10th goal of the season just five minutes into the second half. Senior midfielder Alee Pettit (Harding, Pa./Wyoming Area) laid off a pass for Werner, who ran onto it inside and took a touch before firing it over Besch's head.
- Werner then assisted on sophomore midfielder Casey Grehan's (Hamilton, N.J./Steinert) third score of the season in the 76th minute.
- Susquehanna's defense stifled the Eagles in the second half, holding them without a single shot in the final 45 minutes.

- SU dominated shots, 27-1 (12-0 SOG), and posted a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Top Performers
- Junior captain Madi Welliver (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) needed no saves in recording her sixth shutout of the season and improving to 10-1-1.
- Besch finished the night with 10 saves in the Eagles' fifth consecutive loss.
