SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Three different River Hawks scored and junior captain
Madi Welliver (Turbotville, Pa./Warrior Run) made two stops Saturday afternoon in a Landmark Conference win. The Susquehanna University women's soccer team (11-3-1, 4-1-0 LC) posted a 3-0 victory over the visiting Goucher College Gophers (5-11-0, 1-4-0 LC) for their ninth shutout triumph of 2019. It also marks the ninth game the River Hawks have tallied at least three goals.

How It Happened
- First-year midfielder Gillian Maack (Mohnton, Pa./Gov. Mifflin) gave Susquehanna a 1-0 lead at 18:50 when Maack headed in sophomore defender Marley Clendenin's (Bethesda, Md./Bethesda-Chevy Chase) cross from the right side.
- The River Hawks took a 2-0 lead at 30:08 on sophomore forward Anna Werner's (Mohnton, Pa./Gov. Mifflin) team-leading 11th goal of the season. Werner finished off a cross from first-year forward Emily Wertz (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) just inside the far post.
- Susquehanna headed into halftime with a 2-0 lead as the River Hawks owned a 12-2 shot advantage and a 4-0 corner kick margin in the first 45 minutes.
- Sophomore forward Sam Chillis (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) tacked on another insurance marker in the 60th minute when Chillis rifled a shot past a Goucher defender and Christina Charikofsy.
