Pitman Scores to Lead the River Hawks Past Alvernia

READING, Pa. – Senior captain Hunter Pitman (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood) was the lone goal scorer, lifting the River Hawks past the Golden Wolves of Alvernia College on their home turf Wednesday night.

How It Happened
  • The matchup was a goalie dual for much of the game as Pitman's goal came late in the game for the River Hawks with just over 11 minutes to play.
  • Pitman was able to score off an assist from Heather Casey (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) as Casey drove the ball baseline moving the goalie and slipping the ball back to Pitman in the center.
  • The Golden Wolves were unable to answer back with a goal and the River Hawks won 1-0.
