Junior goalie Libby Dex made a career-high 21 saves with save percentage of .567 and Gabi Toohey and Kathrina Demaio each scored a goal, but the Susquehanna University Women's Lacrosse team dropped a tough 16-2 decision to the University of Scranton Saturday afternoon in Scranton.
 
How It Happened

• Scranton (7-1) dominated possession from the get-go, scoring twice in the opening five minutes of play. Dex made several saves in the opening half to keep the River Hawks (4-5) within reach, but the offense sputtered and failed to score until the team was down 9-0.
• Susquehanna did manage to score the final goal of the half, with Demaio scoring on a feed from Stephanie Dowling to give the team a little momentum heading into the locker room.
• The second half was a similar story, with Scranton scoring seven times in the period. Dex made 10 saves to cap off a solid day, but it was too much Scranton in the end.
• Toohey scored a free position goal to end the game, but the Royals took this one, 16-2.

• Toohey and Demaio each added to their goal scoring season totals. Dowling registered her seventh assist on the year, which is good for second on the team.
