Women’s Lacrosse Falls to No. 10 Catholic

Stephanie Dowling scored two goals and Nicole Hauck added another, but the Susquehanna University Women's Lacrosse team dropped a tough 20-3 decision to No. 10 Catholic Thursday evening in Washington D.C.
 
How It Happened
 
  • The River Hawks (6-8 Overall, 2-4 Landmark) were not able to strike early, and fell behind 8-0 over the first several minutes of the game. Dowling netted the first goal to cut into the advantage.
  • Catholic (11-4, 5-0) would go on to score the next three goals to extend it to 11-1 before Dowling scored again.
  • The deficit was 15-2 at the break, and the Cardinals scored eight times to take control. Hauck scored in the 51st minute to break the streak to make it 15-3.
  • At the end of the day, Catholic was too much for the River Hawks, and the team dropped a tough one, 20-3 to the No. 10 team in the nation.

  • Dowling scored twice and Hauck scored once to lead the River Hawks.
  • Christine Hoerman scooped up three ground balls and Kaitlin Homberg followed with two.
  • Five players caused a turnover and Libby Dex made five saves.
  • Julia Clementi had two goals and three assists to lead the Cardinals.
