WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Susquehanna University men's tennis team improved to 2-0 Wednesday afternoon after posting their second straight shutout. Susquehanna (2-0) picked up an 8-0 non-conference road win over Lycoming College (0-1) as the final match was cancelled due to rain.

How It Happened
Doubles

• Susquehanna continued its strong play in doubles action by dropping only 10 games.
• Sophomore Emil Vyskocil (Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y./Cornwall) and first-year Conor Ryan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) at No. 1 doubles and first-years John Duncan (Bloomsburg, Pa./Central Columbia) and Joshua Sanderson (Mount Wolf, Pa./Northeastern) at No. 2 doubles, both improved to 2-0.
• First-years Justin Mahoney (Oxford, N.J./Warren Hills) and Sam Sidle (Manchester, Pa./Northeastern) earned their first career win as a duo with an 8-2 victory at No. 3 doubles.

 
Singles

• The singles lineup remained intact with Vyskocil at No. 1, Sanderson at No. 2, sophomore Ethan Cooley (Califon, N.J./Voorhees) at No. 3, Duncan at No. 4, Ryan at No. 5, and Sidle at No. 6.
• Duncan and Sidle both won 6-0, 6-0 while Vyskocil and Ryan both picked up wins after their opponent retired.
• Cooley's match at No. 3 singles was canceled because of rain. Cooley was up 7-5, 3-1 when the match was called.
