Field Hockey Falls on the Road to the Pacers
SCRANTON, Pa. – The Susquehanna University field hockey team couldn't come back from a early deficit on Saturday afternoon in their loss to the Marywood Pacers (5-3).

How It Happened
- Five different Pacers were able to score in the contest to win the game for Marywood.
- Marywood took an early 1-0 lead just over eight minutes into the contest and were able to add two more goals just shortly after giving them a 3-0 lead.
- The Pacers were able to score again in the second and third quarters putting the Pacers up 5-0 going into the fourth quarter.
- The River Hawks found the back of the cage in the fourth quarter as first-year Jadyn Brezinski (Numidia, Pa./Southern Columbia Area) notched a goal for the Susquehanna off an assist from senior captain Hunter Pitman (White Haven, Pa./Crestwood).
- Marywood would score again in the fourth quarter on a penalty stroke to bring the final score to 6-1.

- Susquehanna held the Pacers to six penalty corners while forcing five of their own.
- The River Hawks were able to fire off seven shots (six on goal) while Marywood had 18 shots (14 on goal).
- The Susquehanna goalkeepers combined for eight saves during the contest.
