READING, Pa. – Junior captain
Scott Misson (Belford, N.J./Christian Brothers) scored 84 seconds into the second overtime period and just like that the Susquehanna University men's soccer team snapped their five-game skid. Susquehanna (2-6-0) posted a 1-0 double OT road win Wednesday night over Alvernia University (1-7-2) in non-conference action.

How It Happened
- Action was pretty even between the two sides during regulation as Susquehanna owned a 5-4 shot margin in the first half while Alvernia posted a 6-5 edge in shots in the second half.
- Sophomore Kyle Speckhart (Short Hills, N.J./Millburn) made four saves during regulation while Ben Solsky also had four stops to send the game into overtime deadlocked at 0-0.
- The River Hawks came out strong in the first 10-minute OT period, firing three shots in succession which Solsky was able to handle.
- The SU defense did its part by holding the Golden Wolves to an off-target shots over the two extra frames.
- Misson's second goal of the season was the difference as he finished off a pass from sophomore midfielder Brian McKee (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster) at 101:24.
