Volleyball Wins Opening Night at the Randolph-Macon Invite

How It Happened
- The River Hawks (4-1) outscored Randolph-Macon (5-1), 54-39, to claim a 3-0 victory.
- In the first set, Susquehanna edged past the Yellow Jackets with a 25-22 victory, recording 13 kills and a .179 attack percentage as a team.
- Randolph-Macon was able to keep the score close in the second set but, the River Hawks were able to record 16 kills for a 25-22 win.
- Susquehanna again took set three 25-22, notching 13 kills to just 10 by the Yellow Jackets.
Inside the Box Score
- Portale led the team against Randolph-Macon in kills with 10 while outside hitters Rosina Esposito (Coraopolis, Pa./Montour) and Riley O'Dowd (Montville, Nj/Morris Catholic) tallied eight apiece.
- Senior setter Lindsey Pugh (Bear, Del./Caravel Academy) dominated all players with 34 assists while junior libero Lizzie Herestofa (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) recorded a match-best 23 digs.
- Randolph-Macon's leaders were Sydney Koch with seven kills, Angela Tender with 18 assists, and Madison Warlick with 16 digs.
