MADISON, N.J. – The Susquehanna University women's basketball team erased an eight-point third quarter deficit and reclaimed the lead with two minutes to go but could not hold on for the sweep of Drew University Wednesday night. Susquehanna (13-9, 5-6 LC) suffered a 63-56 setback at the hands of the Rangers (15-7, 6-5 LC) despite sophomore guard
Sadie Comfort's (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville) first career 20-point game.
The loss leaves the River Hawks with a tough road ahead to keep their Landmark Conference Championship hopes alive. SU now sits sixth in the Landmark standings with three games remaining in the regular season, the league's top team, The Catholic University of America, on Feb. 15 and Moravian College, who is currently in a two-way tie for fourth with Drew, on Feb. 19.
