SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Attackers
Stephanie Dowling (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) and
Caroline Chase (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) and junior
Nicole Hauck (Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon) combined for 12 goals, 10 assists, and 22 points Saturday afternoon as the Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team picked up their second straight win. Susquehanna (2-1) outscored King's (Pa.) College (1-3), 7-2, in the second half on its way to a 16-9 victory.

How It Happened
- It was a back-and-forth battle in the first half as Susquehanna would score one and the Monarchs would respond with two.
- Down 4-2 at 20:35, Dowling and senior attacker Gabi Toohey (Oradell, N.J./River Dell) each found the back of the net to even up the game at 16:52.
- After Emma Lehman put King's back on top by one, the River Hawks rattled off three straight, including two from Hauck, to gain a 7-5 lead at 8:59.
- The two sides alternated the next four goals and SU carried a 9-7 advantage into halftime.
- After Jen O'Connor notched the first goal of the second half, the hosts broke the game wide open with a 5-0 run to stake a 14-8 margin at 9:27. Five different River Hawks scored in the run while Dowling dished out three helpers.
- Jess Bahnick netted the final goal for King's at 7:22 before Dowling and Hauck struck again with goals at 7:16 and 2:28 for the 16-9 final.

Top Performers
- Dowling picked up her 12th career hat trick as she finished the day with a career-high 11 points on a career-best five goals and a career-high six assists. She went 3-for-3 on free-position shots and is now just two points shy of her 100th.
- Sophomore attacker Caroline Chase (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) was next with six points on two goals and four assists while Hauck ended the afternoon with game- and career-bests of 10 draw controls, five goals and five points.
- Senior captain Libby Dex (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) scooped up five ground balls for the second straight game and made nine saves as Dex played all 60 minutes.
- Mary Kate Klodarska paced the Monarchs with three goals while Kelly Pierce grabbed six ground balls and caused six turnovers in King's third straight loss.
