SAN JUAN, P.R. – Senior attacker
Gabi Toohey (Oradell, N.J./River Dell) collected her 14th career hat trick Wednesday morning as the Susquehanna University women's lacrosse team played their first game down in Puerto Rico. Susquehanna (3-3) was outscored 8-2 in the second half, falling 10-7 to Bridgewater State University (2-3) in the Puerto Rico Clasico.

How It Happened
- Susquehanna opened up the game with a 3-0 run as junior Nicole Hauck (Annandale, N.J./North Hunterdon), Toohey, and sophomore attacker Caroline Chase (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) all found the back of the net. Chase finished with a goal and an assist in the run.
- The two teams then alternated the next four goals and the River Hawks headed into halftime with a 5-2 advantage.
- Bridgewater State came out of the break on fire, rattling off four unanswered goals behind four different scorers as the Bears claimed their first lead of the game, 6-5, at 19:08.
- Senior defender Mel Barracato (Flanders, N.J./Pope John XXIII) and junior midfielder Tori Lombardi (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany Hills) returned the lead back to SU at 11:54 with back-to-back goals.
- It was all Bridgewater State after that as the Bears unleashed four straight goals, including two in 27 seconds in the final 1:45, to lock up their second win of the season.
- The River Hawks turned the ball over three times and took only three shots, two of which were saved by Hayley Berner, during BSU's 4-0 run.

- Toohey led the River Hawks with three goals while Chase had a goal and an assist and senior attacker Stephanie Dowling (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Gov. Livingston) dished out two helpers.
- Senior captain Libby Dex (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) paced the team with four ground balls while making 16 saves and causing one turnover.
- In addition to her goal, Lombardi also collected a team-best two caused turnovers, while sophomore midfielder Katie Hoerman (Glenmoore, Pa./Downingtown) grabbed both draw controls for SU.
- Victoria McDonough was the Bears' leading scorer with three goals and two assists as Bridgewater State snapped its two-game skid with today's win.
