Preston Ouellette (Trumbull, Conn./St. Joseph) and
Jack Harper (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview) combined for seven goals Sunday afternoon but the Susquehanna University men's lacrosse team fell short of a second win. Susquehanna (1-6) dropped a 12-9 non-conference road decision to the Neumann University Knights (5-1).

How It Happened
- The game was tied 2-2 at the end of the first quarter as Susquehanna scored first two goals for a 2-0 lead at 4:48 before the Knights answered with two of their own at 3:09 and 1:37.
- Ouellette gave the River Hawks a one-goal lead 50 seconds into the second period off an assist from Harper.
- Neumann responded with three straight to claim a 5-3 advantage at 10:56 before SU strung together a 3-0 run of its own on the strength of two Harper goals for a 6-5 lead at 13:23 of the third frame. The contest was knotted at 5-5 at halftime.
- The River Hawks lead was short-lived as the hosts rattled off three more for a two-goal margin at 6:57.
- The two sides alternated the next five goals with Ouellette's tally at 6:56 of the fourth pulling Susquehanna within 10-9.
- Colin Blake netted the game's final two goals, including the last one with 1:24 on the clock, for the 12-9 final in Neumann's favor.
- The Knights won five of six face-offs in the fourth to limit SU's possession time while the Neumann defense held them to just five shots.

- Junior long-stick midfielder Michael Jentsch, Jr. (Shamong, N.J./Seneca) paced the team with a career-best six ground balls.
- Junior captain Tyler Gross (Magnolia, Del./Caesar Rodney) got the start today and made 12 saves in the first 30 minutes while senior Josh Weaver (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) turned away nine shots in the second half.
- Blake paced Neumann with game-highs of four goals and six points as the Knights win their second straight.
