LANCASTER, PA -
Ella Moores and
Davis Ann Boyd finished with the top two scores out of 13 players in a tri-match with Franklin and Marshall and McDaniel College. The team finished with an overall score of 377 finishing just behind F&M, who shot a 370 as a team.Â
Ella Moores finished with an 80 for her individual score, as she shot nine over par for the course. The score was two strokes off her season high of 78, which she shot in her last match against Lock Haven.
Davis Ann Boyd had a solid outing as well, as she shot an 83 to finish with the second lowest score of the day, just three strokes behind her teammate Moores.
Erin Hahn and
Julie Neild finished as the final two scorers for the River Hawks, as Hahn finished tied for ninth with a 105 and Neild finished 11th with 109 as her final score.
As a team the final score total was 377, which put them well ahead of McDaniel, who shot a 495 as a team. The team was just behind F&M who had all of their golfers finished within at most eight strokes of each other. The consistency from their team, and low level of variance between the scores, was the key for the Diplomats in the win, as all four golfers were under 100 individually.Â
