SELINSGROVE, PA – The River Hawk's Men's Soccer team bested conference opponent Moravian University Greyhounds on Saturday, by a score of 4-1. The River Hawks are now an even 1-1-1 in conference play this year, as four players scored on the afternoon.
 
Susquehanna wasted no time getting on the board in this one, as Brian McKee found Michael Morelli who netted his second goal of the season off his left foot in the 17^th minute. The scoring continued shortly thereafter as Peter Vassilakos found Clay Yannazone from behind midfield for a header in the 28^th minute, giving the River Hawks early 2-0 lead.
 
The River Hawks would go into halftime with a commanding 3-0 lead as Joe Armstrong and TJ Grube found Tommy O'Keefe in the 40^th minute of play. Grube made a brilliant pass to Armstrong who was ahead of the pack, and the senior captain was able to cross the ball to the right side of the box, finding O'Keefe for his first collegiate goal. Susquehanna outshot Moravian 8-4 in the first half, helping the team to the early scoring advantage.
 
Olivier Mathieu continued the offensive onslaught for the River Hawks in the second half, as he found the back of the net courtesy of Morelli in the 52^nd minute. Matieu was able to evade the Moravian goal keeper and found himself with a wide open net for the goal. The lone score for Moravian came in the 56^th minute, as Jake Crawford scored for the Greyhounds.
 
The rest of the match saw the River Hawks work to keep the ball off of the feet of Moravian, and was done so effectively. The victory gives Susquehanna their first conference win of the year and three more points towards the conference standings. 
 
Other Notes.

• Susquehanna outshot Moravian 12-10 on the day, while each team was awarded six corners on the afternoon
• Keeper Gerrit Stech tallied 1 save on the day and earned the win, as his record improved to 5-4-1 on the season.
