MOOSIC, Pa. – Sophomore
Devin Peart (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) grabbed individual medalist honors Monday evening as the Susquehanna University men's golf team competed against Elizabethtown College and the University of Scranton at the par-71, 6,380-yard Glenmaura National Golf Club.
Peart has finished in the Top 3 in all three of Susquehanna's competitions this season. He earned his first first-place finish of the season by carding a three-over 74 in the 15-team player field.
The River Hawks defeated Elizabethtown, 323-366, but fell by 15 strokes to the host Scranton Royals, 308-323.
Senior
Logan Kern (Sunbury, Pa./Shikellamy) placed seventh with an 81 while junior
Greg Hiriak (Gilbertsville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) was next in eighth with an 83. Junior
Andrew Galletta (Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport-Blue Point) rounded out the scoring with an 85 to finish in a tie for ninth.
Senior captain
Chris Bouchard (Oakdale, Conn./Montville) also competed and tallied an 86 for 11th place.
The River Hawks return to action this weekend at the 2021 Landmark Conference Men's Golf Championships hosted by Juniata College on Saturday, April 24, at the Scotch Valley Country Club in Hollidaysburg, Pa. Tee time is 12:00 p.m.
