SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna men's and women's golf swept the Landmark Conference Athletes of the Week thanks to
Kennedy Petrovich and
Jax Puskar each turning in scoreboards under 70. Puskar got things started with a 66 last Tuesday at Susquehanna's Fall Invite, then Petrovich firing a 69 Sunday at the Hamilton Invitational.
Puskar fired a four-under-par 66 at Susquehanna Valley Country Club, finishing first individually in a stacked 15-team field. His 66 featured four birdies, including three on the front nine, as he posted the lowest score of the tournament and helped the River Hawks capture the team title with a score of 289 (+9), seven strokes ahead of runner-up Bloomsburg. His career round marked the best score for a Susquehanna men's golfer in 16 years.
Petrovich posted a program-record 69 (-3) during Sunday's second round of the Hamilton Invitational, marking the lowest single-round score in Susquehanna women's golf history. Her three-under-par round was a key part of the River Hawks' record-setting team performance, as Susquehanna carded a program-record 304 (+16) on day two towards a 619 two-day score to finish tied for third.Â
