SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Susquehanna University women's tennis team picked up a pair of Landmark Conference victories Saturday afternoon as Susquehanna (4-4, 4-3 LC) handed Juniata College (1-6, 1-6 LC) two 7-2 setbacks. The first 7-2 win was the completion of a suspended match due to rain from April 7 in Huntingdon, finishing up No. 2, No. 5, and No. 6 singles which were all in progress before the rain delay.
April 7 Match – Susquehanna 7, Juniata 2

Doubles
Susquehanna opened up the match with a 1-0 as junior
Ashlynn Searer (Hummelstown, Pa./Hershey) and sophomore
Grace Tepes (Northampton, Pa./Northampton) won 8-1 at No. 1 doubles. The Eagles knotted the match at 1-1 with an 8-3 victory at No. 2 doubles.
The River Hawks headed into singles action with a 2-1 edge thanks to an 8-4 triumph at No. 3 doubles by first-year
Julie Bramley (Elizabethtown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) and senior
Holly Young (Olyphant, Pa./Valley View).
Singles
Before the match was delayed, Susquehanna owned a 4-2 advantage following singles victories at No. 1 and No. 4 by
Searer and
Bramley, respectively. The Eagles' second point came at No. 3 singles on a straight-set win by junior
Kady Lohr.
Tepes, sophomore
Chelsea Kneedler (Lincoln University, Pa./Avon Grove), and
Young all earned three-set victories at No. 2, No. 5, and No.6 singles to clinch the win.

Tepes gave SU a 1-0 lead with an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles before
Lohr and sophomore
Emily Sarro evened up the match with an 8-4 triumph at No. 2 doubles.
Bramley and
Young then sent the River Hawks into singles action with a 2-1 lead following their shutout victory at No. 3 doubles. The duo is currently 3-0 on the season.
Singles
Searer shutout her opponent, junior
Jamie Mahigel, at No. 1 singles for a 3-1 River Hawk advantage.
Lohr struck again with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 singles to pull Juniata within 3-2.
Bramley and first-year
Isabella Scappaticci (Wyoming, Pa./Wyoming Area) dropped a combined three games at No. 3 and No. 6 singles, respectively, to clinch the match for SU at 5-2.
Junior
Anna Ream (Lewistown, Pa./Mifflin County) and
Kneedler wrapped up the match with straight-set victories at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
