SELINSGROVE, PA (September 18, 2021) - The Susquehanna University men's tennis team earned their second win of the 2021-2022 season on Saturday with a home win against Penn College. For the second straight time out the River Hawks won 8 of 9 matches in route to a victory.
In the singles matches, the River Hawks were able to complete a clean sweep, winning all six matches.
Men's #1 singles player Emil Vyskocil followed up his dominant contest with another one, winning 6-2, 6-3.
In the #2 singles match, Josh Sanderson won his sets by 6-3 and 6-2. In the #3 singles match, John Duncan won easily 6-1, 6-2, and Tim Basta in the #4 slot also cruised to a victory, winning his sets 6-1 and 6-1.
Ethan Cooley and Kyle Wagner in the #5 and #6 singles matches, dominated their opponents with 6-0, 6-0 blankings.
In the doubles, the #1 duo of Carson Barry and Conor Ryan fell short with a 8-3 loss, but the #2 duo of Sam Sidle and Justin Mahoney were able to pick them up with a 8-6 win. The #3 duo of Jake Kittleberger and Eli Markle easily won their match 8-0.
