SELINSGROVE, PA (September 18, 2021) -- The Susquehanna University women's tennis team secured their second win of the season Saturday with an 8-1 home win against Penn College.
The River Hawks were able to sweep their 3 doubles matches, dominating in each contest. The #3 duo of Julie Bramley and Isabella Scappaticci swept their opponent 8-0, while the #2 duo of Chelsea Kneedler and Anna Ream followed suite, and swept 8-0 as well.
The #1 duo of Ashlynn Searer and Haley White also handled their opponents with ease, winning 8-1.
On the singles side, Searer started things with a nice win at No. 1, earning all 12 games for a 6-0, 6-0 win. Bramley also cruised to a win at No. 2, winning 6-1, 6-0.
Scappatici, in the #3 slot, was able to secure her match, winning 6-0, 6-1 in straight sets. The #5 single, Kristen Bair and the #6, Chelsea Kneedler, rounded out the singles matches sweeping their opponents with Bair winning 6-0, 6-0 and Kneedler winning 8-0.
