CARLISLE, PA (March 22, 2022) -- The Susquehanna University men's tennis team had a tough time getting much going Tuesday afternoon on the road at Dickinson College, as the Red Devils topped SU 9-0 in non-conference action from Hays Tennis Courts on the campus of Dickinson.
In doubles,
John Duncan and
Joshua Sanderson played a spirited affair with Garrick Adams and Thomas Griffin, but Dickinson's No. 2 pair was able to earn the victory with a score of 8-6. Romano De Caprio and Will Lewis defeated
Henrik Sandstede and
Emil Vyskocil 8-2 at No. 1 doubles, while the Red Devils earned the sweep of pairs with a 8-1 win at the No. 3 position.
In singles play, Vyskocil played well by fell to Adams 6-4, 6-2 while
Ethan Cooley also had a strong effort at No. 6 before ultimately dropping a 6-4, 6-4 decision to Florian Anderson.
Joshua Sanderson also saw his seven-match win streak in singles come to an end, falling at No. 2 singles 6-0, 6-3 to Griffin.
Susquehanna dropped to 5-2 overall on the year.
