SELINSGROVE, PA (April 30, 2022) -- The Susquehanna University men's tennis finished the 2022 regular season on Saturday, falling to visiting Goucher College 9-0 in play from Garrett Courts.
With the win, Goucher will now host the River Hawks as the No. 2 seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament this upcoming Wednesday at a time to be determined. The River Hawks fell behind early in doubles, as the Gophers swept the pairs portion of the match.
The best match came at No. 3 singles, as
Henrik Sandstede battled to a 7-5 first set before falling 6-0 in the second set. Both
Emil Vyskocil and
Joshua Sanderson battled before falling in straight sets, as Vyskocil fell 6-4, 6-3 to Brian Kane at No. 1 singles. Sanderson dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision.
