HARRISBURG, PA (September 17, 2022) -- The Susquehanna University men's tennis team fell behind 3-0 after doubles and couldn't rebound in falling to host Penn State Harrisburg 6-3 in non-conference play Saturday afternoon.
After falling in all three flights in men's tennis, the River Hawks (2-1) rebounded in singles play to split the individual action.
Tim Basta earned a come-from-behind win at No. 2 singles, as he dropped the first set 6-3 before rallying for a 3-6, 6-2, 6-3 win over Aaron Krasley.
At No. 3 singles,
John Duncan picked up a straight set win over Derwin Merca with scores of 6-4, 6-3.
Gavin Ream also cruised to a 6-4, 6-3 victory at No. 6 singles over Nick Rohn.
Thomas Hallahan battled hard at No. 4 singles, dropping a 6-1, 7-6 (4) decision over Zijun Ou, while
Joshua Sanderson fell 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 to Daniel Ellis at No. 1 singles.
