HARRISBURG, PA (September 17, 2022) -- Host Penn State Harrisburg was able to control action Saturday afternoon against the Susquehanna University women's tennis squad, as the Lions bested the River Hawks 9-0 in action from Hoverter Tennis Complex.
Penn State Harrisburg (1-0) started the afternoon with a sweep of doubles action, but
Eliza Mahoney and
Olivia Tepes battled well at the No. 3 spot before dropping an 8-3 decision to Gabrielle Sabatose and Sarah Shaub.
At No. 2 singles,
Isabella Scappaticci was right with Olivia Bandini but couldn't get over the hump in falling 6-4, 7-5, while senior
Chelsea Kneedler played well at No. 4 singles but was bested 6-3, 7-6 (5) by Nizaly Ortiz-Kreiner.
