SELINSGROVE, PA (September 27, 2022) – Susquehanna Women's Golf had a banner day on Tuesday afternoon, taking their first win of the season as they hosted a second home match in a row, this time welcoming Lock Haven University. The River Hawks took the victory with a combined score of 369, over Lock Haven's 406. Senior Davis Ann Boyd led the way with her round of 77, a record best round score in program history. Her teammates would also shoot the lowest rounds of their respective collegiate careers.
Following Boyd in second overall was Erin Hahn, who shot a 90 and also bested the scores of all the Lock Haven golfers. Julie Neild shot a 97 and Sara Rados rounded out the team's scores with a 105.
Lock Haven was led by Aaliyah Matylewicz with her score of 93, followed by a 95 from Skylar Smith, a 105 from Audrey Weigl, and Kylee Lobb finished out the day with a 113.
With a huge boost of momentum after producing the best golf of their careers, Susquehanna will now look ahead to the Landmark Conference Fall Preview on Saturday, October 1, hosted by Scranton University at the Glenmaura National Golf Club. The day is scheduled to begin at 11:30 am.
