Susquehanna Ends Home Regular Season With 3-0 Sweep Over Goucher

SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna Volleyball swept Goucher in their final home match of the regular season, finishing each set by a score of 25-17. Their next outing will come against #8 Calvin University on Friday in the Calvin Invite, as well as matchups against #3 Hope College and Defiance College.

The River Hawks fell behind early in the first set, with Goucher pulling ahead by a score of 8-5 before a combination of three service aces from Keira Roach and two kills from Sami Kline put SU ahead 13-8 and forced a Goucher timeout. The rest of the set went swiftly for Susquehanna, ending the set with a score of 25-17.

The second set started much differently, as Susquehanna pulled out to an early 7-3 lead over the Gophers thanks in part to three consecutive service aces from Delaney McCoy. The rest of the set proved to be rather dominant for the River Hawks as they never allowed Goucher to pull within six points, ultimately winning once again with a score of 25-17.
The final set continued to see the River Hawks dominate the Gophers, with Susquehanna gaining an early lead of 7-2. Goucher was once again unable to pull the score close enough to give SU a fright, and the night ended with yet another 25-17 set win for the River Hawks to complete the sweep.

Sami Kline led the River Hawks in kills on the night with 10, followed by Amanda Gore with eight and Emily Kowalski and Kyndall Mason, who each collected seven. Megan Currie and Delaney McCoy each set the pace for assists in the match with 16. McCoy also totaled a team-best four service aces, along with three from Keira Roach. Libero Valerie Stoltz scooped 12 digs to lead the match. Susquehanna finished the night with a .239 hitting percentage with 39 kills on 92 attempts. Goucher ended with a team -.034 hitting percentage, finishing 14 kills on 87 attempts.
