TUNKHANNOCK, PA (April 10, 2023) – The Susquehanna women's golf team headed north on Monday for a mid-day dual match with conference rivals Scranton. A close match, it ultimately went the way of the hosts as SU fell 378-411 against the Royals.
Davis Ann Boyd led the line for the River Hawks, shooting an 87 on the day. Erin Hahn followed that with a 94, with Julie Neild coming in next with a 103. Paige Weaver rounded out the day for SU with her score of 127. Scranton's Victoria Dowling had the best round on the day, finishing with an 80.
These squads will see plenty more of each other, as this was just the first of three dual matches they'll play in the coming days. The Royals will journey to Selinsgrove on Thursday, when the teams tee off at 1 pm at Susquehanna Valley County Club. They will then complete the three-match series back in Scranton, when the teams take to Glenmaura National, the Royals' other home course, on Monday, April 17, again beginning at 1 pm.
