BALTIMORE, MD (April 16, 2023) – Susquehanna women's tennis faced a tough Goucher team in Sunday Landmark action, dropping an 8-1 contest to the host Gophers.
The River Hawks got their lone win at three singles when
Grace Tepes put on an astounding three-set win to beat Jessica Townes, overcoming a 6-3 defeat in set one to counter with a 6-4 victory in set two, then running towards a 10-7 win in the tiebreaking game. The one doubles team of
Chelsea Kneedler and
Julie Bramley waged a tight match against Natalia Navarro and Eliza Abady, heading to a runoff tied at 7-7, which the Goucher tandem coming out on top, 7-2.
Susquehanna has two more matches on its regular season slate, finishing out their Landmark season at Juniata Wednesday, April 19 at 4:00 p.m., followed by a non-conference matchup at King's next Sunday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m.
