MOOSIC, PA (April 17, 2023) – Playing for the second time in a week, the Susquehanna women's golf team again traveled to face Scranton, this time dueling at the Glenmaura National Golf Club. As was the case last week, the hosting Royals came out on top in a close fight, winning 405-445. Despite the team result, Davis Ann Boyd was the best scorer on the day, leading all golfers with a score of 80.
Boyd led the line for the River Hawks, tallying four birdies enroute to a four-stroke lead over the second-place finisher. Erin Hahn and Julie Neild were the next finishers for SU, slotting closely into fourth and fifth place with scores of 104 and 105, respectively. The group was rounded out by Paige Weaver, who claimed eighth place overall with a score of 156.
The squad will have one final outing before the Landmark Conference Championships beginning on Sunday, April 23. First, they'll visit Frosty Valley Country Club for a dual match with Bloomsburg University on Thursday, April 20 at noon. That will provide one last tune-up before the group returns to Scranton, specifically Glenmaura, who will host the Women's Golf Landmark Conference Championships this year.
