Senior Day Offers Room for Career Milestones in 21-2 Win over Goucher

SELINSGROVE, PA (April 22, 2023) – Susquehanna Women's Lacrosse's Senior Day Saturday featured not just the pre-match coronation of goalkeeper Emmy Regan and manager Fran Czeponis, but also saw a couple of River Hawks post career milestones in the team's 21-2 Landmark win over Goucher.

In the midst of Susquehanna scoring the first 11 goals and Regan tallying her 17th career win, junior Caitlin Harvey's fifth draw control of the day gave her 100 for her career, while Liv Owen reached 100 career points with her fifth point of the day on a third-quarter and Kelsey Homberg amassing 100 career points with her sixth point of the afternoon that resulted in the last goal of the day. Homberg had five goals and one assists on the afternoon to lead the team, while Owen had five points on two goals and three assists and Harvey a pair of goals and assists with seven draw controls.

Allie Kutler notched four goals, while Abby Andrus and Kim Nagengast each had three points on two goals and one assist. Heather Riefenhauser collected one goal and one assist, while Abbey Alex, Hannah McNamara and Lauren Edwards recorded one goals with Ruby Calabrese adding one assist. Regan presided in goal for the first half, then Aerin O'Brien entered in the second half before Regan returned for the final two-and-a-half minutes of the contest.

The River Hawks outshot the Gophers 41-7 in shots, including 29-2 in shots on goal, and winning 21-of-27 draw controls. Susquehanna converted on 3-of-5 free positions for scores.

Saturday's win puts the River Hawks at 3-3 in the Landmark and 9-7 overall, all but needing a win at Scranton in next Saturday's regular season finale to stay alive for the Landmark Conference Tournament hunt.
