SELINSGROVE, PA (April 5, 2023) – The Susquehanna University women's tennis team hosted Randolph-Macon in a non-conference matchup Wednesday afternoon. The River Hawks fought the Yellow Jackets close in the doubles matches despite RMU taking all three, after which the visitors took all six singles matches in a 9-0 decision.

The two doubles team of Grace Tepes and Sophia Koons had the closest contest of the day, falling 8-6 to Becky Villeda and Grace Holderman. The one tandem of Chelsea Kneedler and Julie Bramley adropped an 8-4 contest to Camilla Thurman and Catherine Mowry, while the three team of Julie Pardo and Kristen Bair fell by an 8-2 score to Katie Sarnowski to Adele Huffman.

Four of the singles matches were won by Randolph Macon with 6-1 and 6-0 set scores. At one singles, Bramley rematched with Thurman, dropping a 6-1, 6-3 contest. Grace Tepes took on Matty Grace Gilliam at four singles, which Gilliam won by 6-3 and 6-2 sets.

The River Hawks return to Landmark play against Goucher Saturday, April 15. A makeup non-conference date with King's (Pa.) will be announced soon.
