ALTOONA, PA (Sinking Valley Country Club) - Susquehanna University women's golf headed westward to Altoona on Saturday for a tri-match with Penn State Altoona and Hood College. First-year
Kennedy Petrovich, who has medaled in every event in her debut fall season for the River Hawks, lived up to that Saturday with a 77, carrying two birdies and nine pars on the par-72, 5615-yard course at Sinking Valley Country Club.
Petrovich's top marks this fall give her the distinction of most medal finishes for a River Hawk in one season. Susquehanna as a unit managed a 340 on the course for the day, beating Hood by 28 strokes and host Penn State Altoona by 140 strokes.Â
Isabella Westerfield and
Peyton Cerminaro both shot an 87 tying for second. Westerfield had 1 birdie and 6 pars. Cerminaro had six pars. Tied for fourth place was
Molly Rohan with an 89, making par five times on the day, to tie with Hood's Katie Driscoll. Rounding out the River Hawks was senior
Sara Rados, who shot a career-best 93, including four pars.Â
Susquehanna finishes its regular season at home in match play against Eastern on Wednesday, Oct. 23. It's then on to the Landmark Conference Previews from the Shawnee Inn the weekend of Oct. 26-27.Â
