HUMMELS WHARF, PA (Susquehanna Valley Country Club) - Susquehanna University's women's golf team completed an undefeated regular season Wednesday afternoon with a match play victory over Eastern. Going 4-on-4, the River Hawks won all four matches, giving them an unblemished 8-0 mark through all their dual and match play contests this fall, another program best.
First-year phenom
Kennedy Petrovich faced off against Jeannie Shore in the closest match of the day, with Petrovich finishing six-up with five holes to play. She had one birdie on the day on the par-four fourth hole to seal the win. Fellow first-year
Isabella Westerfield defeated Jenna Crowley in the biggest win of the afternoon, winning every hole to go ten-up with eight to play. She had three pars. The last of the rookies,
Peyton Cerminaro, also went ten holes to claim a victory, beating Kylie Smith after going nine-up with eight holes to play. Cerminaro won every hole except hole nine, where it was a push with both players carrying sixes. She had three pars on the day. Sophomore
Molly Rohan completed the shutout win after prevailing over Makenna Kitchen, going nine up with seven holes remaining. They drew twice on the first hole with a pair of sevens and the third hole with both carrying fives. Rohan had two pars.Â
The River Hawks are now off this weekend for their fall finale at the Landmark Fall Previews in a precursor to late spring's conference championships at the Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort in Delaware, Pa.Â
