Men's Soccer Wraps Up Home Slate Against Scranton

SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna men's soccer completed their 2024 home schedule on Saturday, falling by a final score of 3-0 at the hands of the University of Scranton. All three goals came in the second half.

Tony Burns stood strong in the Susquehanna goal in the first 45 minutes, and made five saves on the night, as Scranton took 16 shots in the first half and 21 on the afternoon to the River Hawks' seven total.

Susquehanna fell behind in the 64th minute through Dean Finan, and then Scranton added two late goals, both coming from Ciaran Corr in the 80th and 86th minutes.

The River Hawks were able to take seven shots on the night, but none were on target. Hayden Swinehart and Zak Kreisher each had two, while senior trio Ben Sweeney, Tom O'Keefe, and Max Paczewski each contributing with one.

While the River Hawks have been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention, they still remain seventh in the Landmark Conference, and have improved greatly over the past year, adding four wins to their tally from a year ago with another game still to come. They sit at 7-7-3, and finish their season at Drew next weekend, on Nov. 2.
