SELINSGROVE, PA (October 4, 2024) - The Susquehanna University volleyball team extended their winning streak to four games with another double header sweep of Mount Aloysius College and Landmark-foe Wilkes University Friday evening at Orlando W. Houts Gymnasium. The latter matchup with the Colonels marked the team's conference season opener to begin their slate at 1-0.

Starting off with Mount Aloysius, the River Hawks dropped the first set 25-20 but won the next three sets to secure a 3-1 victory over the Mounties. They won all three very convincingly with scores of 25-8, 25-17, and 25-16, respectively.

As a team, Susquehanna beat out Mount Aloysius 70-45 in combined score, 50-37 in kills, and had an attack percentage of .252 to just .096 for the visitors.

Emily Kowalski and Amanda Gore each had double-digit kills with 13 and 12, with Ryan Rorls falling just short with 9. Keira Roach finished with 40 assists and Jessica Sack led the team with 20 digs, with no other River Hawk tallying double digits in either category.

Next up was Wilkes who Susquehanna defeated in a 3-0 sweep, 25-13, 25-19, and 25-18 being the final scores of each set. The River Hawks jumped out to early leads in each and never looked back.

Once again Susquehanna dominated Wilkes in every major statistical category, 37-32 in kills, 34-29 in assists, 8-2 in aces, etc. Their attack percentage was also a full percent higher at .224 to .124 for Wilkes.

No River Hawks had double-digit kills with Rorls leading the team with 6, Kowalski, Stella Robinson, and Addison Dodge finishing with 5, and Emma Willow had 4. Roach and Delaney McCoy both notched double-digit assists with 17 and 12, and Sack once again leading the team in digs with 11.
