HUMMELS WHARF, PA - Susquehanna women's golf kept their hot start going on Saturday, beating Misericordia in a non-conference dual match 348-382 on their home Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
Susquehanna and Misericordia's top scorers shared the top of the leaderboard in
Kennedy Petrovich and Jordyn Ruane, respectively, each with 81 scores for a +11 total on the par-70 course. Petrovich had ten pars on the day. Fellow first-years
Peyton Cerminaro and
Isabella Westerfield were next up on the leaderboard to give the RIver Hawks the edge, both turning in 86 scores to tie for third. Cerminaro had a match-high three birdies on the par-fives sixth and 17th holes and the par-four 16th hole. Westerfield shot par twice. Cougar Olivia Voll was the next highest finisher with a 91 for fifth place, while
Molly Rohan secured SU's victory with her 95 for sixth overall, managing three birdies on the front nine. Senior
Sara Rados shot a 96, birdying 16 and making par on 17, while
Kellyn Hackett-Slimm shot a 111
The River Hawks head westward next weekend to Altoona's Sinking Valley Country Club for a tri-match with Penn State Altoona and Hood, as will the men's golf team.Â
