LEBANON, PA – Landmark Championship season is underway, as women's cross country helped usher in the first conference championships of the 2024-25 season, hosted by Elizabethtown Saturday morning. Susquehanna lived up to its billing with a fifth-place finish after receiving such a ranking in the conference's Pre-Championship Poll, securing 133 points. Sophomore
Sophia Bostwick led the team with an All-Landmark Honorable Mention finish at 23:35.20, good for 15th place overall.
Next in line were three more top-30 finishes to help on the team scoring side as seniors
Rebekah Jones and
Sophia Pasquariello finished with 24:20.41 and 24:27.19 times, good for 26th and 28th place, respectively. Sophomore
Alison Sponseller came in 30th place with a 24:30.31 time. Senior
Jordan Bender and first-year
Ava Warner cross the line next with Bender at 24:52.54 for 36th place, while Warner finished with a new PR of 24.56.82 for 37th. Sophomore
Ayla Kerwan and senior
Sydney Mitros push each other to the 46th and 47th best times of the day, as Kerwan locked in a new PR time of 25:09.60, while Mitros finished with a 25:14.22 mark. Junior
Griane Reed raced to a time of 25:36.14.
First-year
Julianna Sobocinski and senior
Grace Farrer each finished with a new PR, a 25:49.38 for Sobocinski and a 25:51.70 for Farrer. Sophomore
EmmaLia Ciccarello crossed the line with 26:18.62. Junior
Kylie Dixon raced with a time of 28:06.45. Junior
Katrina Hook finished with a time of 29:47.47, while first-year
Sophia Alampiev completed her first race with a 30:46.60 time.
Catholic, Moravian, and Scranton battled it out for the conference championship, with the Cardinals winning the team title by just one point with 59 points, whiel boasting the individual champion in Kate Inglis, who clocked in at 21:56.48. The Greyhounds earned second with 60 points and the Royals third at 61. In fourth was the host E-Town Blue Jays with 80 points.
