SELINSGROVE, PA – The Susquehanna University men's tennis team welcomed Juniata to campus Sunday in an afternoon Landmark Conference competition. Daniel Murphy and Owen Miller had the distinction of carrying doubles and singles wins, which unfortunately were Susquehanna's only three wins of the day as the Eagles took a 6-3 victory.

The aforementioned Murphy and Miller opened at three doubles, taking down Ross Conway and Dilon Murphy 8-2. Miller moved on to a win at three singles, defeating Basile Gandon by 6-4 and 6-2 scores, while Murphy again prevailed over his Juniata Murphy counterpart at six singles, 8-5. The Eagles cruised to swift victories at one and two doubles and singles for their first four wins of the day, although the four and five singles matches were more difficult to grasp. Thomas Hallahan played a close pair of frames against Arthur DeYoung at four, with the latter prevailing by 6-3 and 6-4 scores, while Gavin Ream also played tightly at five singles versus Conway, as the Juniata competitor won a close first set 7-5 and a more decisive 6-2 score in the second.

The River Hawks have one more Landmark Conference test when they host Goucher on Thursday at 4 p.m. They then finish up their spring season with a weekend non-conference home slate welcoming McDaniel Saturday for Senior Day and King's (Pa.) Sunday.
