SELINSGROVE, PA – Susquehanna women's tennis played host to Juniata Sunday afternoon in their Landmark Conference season finale, with the Eagles winning by an 8-1 score.
Katherine Yoder provided the team's long victory at five singles with a tough-fought 6-4 and 7-5 ledger over Marilyn Ogof.
The closest matchup at doubles consisted of the two matchup between
Alexa Wanamaker and
Katelyn Richter versus JC's Charley Madlock and Marilyn Ogof, with the latter coming out on top, 8-5. Richter rematched Madlock at four singles, providing another close set as Madlock took the first game 7-5, then cruised to a 6-0 second set to clinch the match. At six singles
Serah Yusuf went three frames against Shveta Kalathur, with Yusuf winning the first game 6-4, then her Juniata opponent winning out in set two 6-3 and ultimately the tiebreaker, 10-8.
The River Hawks finish up their spring season with a weekend non-conference home slate welcoming McDaniel Saturday for Senior Day and King's (Pa.) Sunday.
