Kennedy Petrovich, in her career debut, tallied a 74, setting a program record for lowest score.
All six River Hawks took to the course, three of which made their career debut in Petrovich and fellow first-years
Isabella Westerfield and
Peyton Cerminaro. SU's three returning student-athletes also hit the course in senior
Sara Rados and sophomores
Molly Rohan and
Kellyn Hackett-Slimm.
Petrovich made an impressive debut as the local from Shamokin topped the leaderboard by way of posting four birdies and seven pars, as Susquehanna swept the top five. Westerfield and Cerminaro were next on the leaderboard at two and three, respectively, with Westerfield carrying an 81, scoring nine pars, while Cerminaro scored an 86 with six pars, closing out her day with pars on the 17th (par five) and 18th holes (par four). Rohan set a new personal best, finishing fourth with a 94 scoring a birdie and three pars, while Rados was fifth with a 95, shooting three pars. Hackett-Slimm finished with a 113, getting one par on the day.Â
