WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Susquehanna University women's golf team continued their historic tear Friday afternoon with a road trip to Wyoming Valley Country Club to square off against Wilkes in Landmark Conference action. First-year
Kennedy Petrovich beat her own school record with the first under-par performance in school history with a 71 one-under to lead the way as Susquehanna defeated the Colonels, 332-421. The team score is the best for the program ever on an away course and second all-time behind the team's 331 performance last week against Lock Haven from Susquehanna Valley Country Club.
Petrovich medaled by a six-stroke difference, ahead of Wilkes' Kyleen McCane's 77, carrying along three birdies on the fifth, sixth, and 18th holes with just three bogeys. After McCane the River Hawks swooped in on spots three through six, led by
Isabella Westerfield with an 83, birdying the 14th hole.
Peyton Cerminaro collected an 86, also carrying a birdie on 14. Sophomore
