SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna women's soccer defeated Moravian University, adding a very important three points to their conference point total. The River Hawks sit with 10 points on the season, with three games remaining in the regular season.
How it Happened:
- The defense for both team's through the first 25 minutes of play remained stellar, with neither team being able to find the back of the net.Â
- Ava Billmeyer received a pass from Audrey Miller, where Billmeyer dribbled the ball downfield, taking a shot and painting the top left corner of the goal at the 28:02 mark of match. Billmeyer secured the 1-0 lead in the match for the River Hawks.
- Neither team was able to draw much more offense for the remainder of the first half of play, with SU leading 1-nil at halftime.
- The River Hawks tallied shot after shot in the second half of play, unable to sneak anything past Greyhounds goalkeeper Caitlyn Philips.
- SU held on the remainder of the afternoon, taking the 1-0 win over their Conference foe.
