SELINSGROVE, PA - Susquehanna women's soccer remained deadlocked in a scoreless tie with Catholic Tuesday night entering the final twelve minutes of play, before the Cardinals' Isabel Doherty drilled one to hand the River Hawks their first defeat in four games, as well as their first goal allowed in the same stretch.
How it Happened:
- The River Hawks and the Cardinals remained in a deadlocked tie through the first half of play, with each team taking shots through the first 45.
- The second half of play remained rather quiet, with both teams attempting shots, with both goalkeepers standing strong.
- Late in the second half of play, Catholic's Isabel Doherty intercepted a pass from Caroline Aponte, taking a shot and finding the back of the net, pushing it just past the outstretched arm of River Hawks goalkeeper Katie Henchy.
- The Cardinals held on for the remaining time, turning away all SU shots, winning the game 1-nil.
