WILKES-BARRE, PA - Amelia Maguire offered a highlight Saturday in the Susquehanna women's tennis team's Landmark matchup at Wilkes by winning her doubles and singles matches. The Colonels, however, strung together a few more wins to earn the 5-2 victory.
Maguire and
Macey DiBastiani represented Susquehanna's lone doubles win Saturday in the two spot, defeating Kensington Edmond and Ava Vacula by a 6-2 score. Maguire then moved on to win her five singles match, this time overtaking Sydney Farmer by 7-5 and 6-4 scores.
Katherine Yoder picked up the team's remaining singles victory at three, defeating Kensington Edmond 1-6, 6-2, and 6-1.
The team has two more Landmark matches and three overall going into the final weeks of the regular season, facing off at Juniata on Tuesday at 4 p.m. and hosting Scranton Saturday, April 26. They also have a non-conference date at King's Sunday, April 27.
