Volleyball Opens 2025 at Franklin & Marshall Tournament

LANCASTER, PA - Susquehanna University women's volleyball began the 2025 season Friday and Saturday at Franklin & Marshall's tournament. The River Hawks opened their stay Friday night against Randolph Macon, followed by the host Diplomats and Lancaster Bible Saturday. All resulted in 3-0 defeats. 

Kyndall Mason was voted to the All-Tournament Team after totaling 15 kills and a .173 attack percentage for the weekend. 

RANDOLPH MACON 3, SUSQUEHANNA 0
  • Susquehanna opened the match with a 4-0 lead in set one and even a 22-21 lead late in the frame. 
  • Randolph Macon ran off four of the last five points in game one to take a 25-23 win.
  • The River Hawks closed the gap to 21-20 in the second set, only for the Yellow Jackets to again swipe four of the last five points to win 25-21 in game two.
  • Randolph Macon clinched the match by a 25-18 decision in set three.
  • Kyndall Mason led Susquehanna with ten kills and a .269 attack percentage.
  • Lauren Halsey offered up ten assists and four service aces to lead the River Hawks.
  • Jessica Sack charted 14 digs and two service aces. 
  • Addison Dodge led with four blocks with one solo block.
  • Susquehanna finished with 25 kills on a .161 attack percentage, while Randolph Macon posted 47 kills on a .208 attack percentage with 13 service aces. 
FRANKLIN AND MARSHALL 3, SUSQUEHANNA 0
  • Franklin and Marshall broke off on considerable runs throughout the three sets, taking the first two games by 25-15 scores and then 25-11 in the third frame.
  • Emma Willow led the team with six kills and had one service ace alongside Jessica Sack. Sack again was the team digs leader with ten.
  • Addison Dodge totaled four blocks and second on the team with three kills.
  • Lauren Halsey led with nine assists.
  • The River Hawks totaled 17 kills with a .071 attack percentage, while the Diplomats logged 40 kills with a .270 attack percentage. F&M produced a staggering 19 service aces to SU's two. 
LANCASTER BIBLE 3, SUSQUEHANNA 0
  • Susquehanna's resolve was put to the test in its tournament finale against the Chargers, though the fellow Lancaster residents pulled out 25-14, 25-17, and 25-21 wins.
  • Jessica Sack's defense continued to produce with 25 digs to lead the contest. Following this weekend she sits at an even 1,100 career digs. Sack and Regan Kane each had two service aces.
  • Emma Willow led the team with seven kills and five blocks. 
  • Lauren Halsey charted 14 assists.
  • Valerie Stoltz notched eight digs with two kills.
  • Susquehanna was .000 in attack percentage with both 21 kills and 21 errors. The Chargers had 35 kills and a .170 attack percentage. LBC also had 11 service aces.
UP NEXT FOR SUSQUEHANNA
  • The River Hawks head to NYU next weekend, opening with Gallaudet Friday at 4:30 p.m. before tangling with Stevens Saturday at 3 p.m. and 23rd-ranked NYU right after at 5:30 p.m.
