BRYN MAWR, PA - Susquehanna field hockey dropped a close battle against Bryn Mawr by a 2-1 score. Taylor Rothermel countered an early Owls goal with the equalizer to tie it up in the third quarter. Bryn Mawr, however, retaliated nearly six minutes later with the deciding goal. 

How it Happened 

• The Owls scored first, with a shot from Carrie Povich finding the back of the cage at the 17:11 mark of the match. 

• Taylor Rothermel evened up the score early in the third frame, scoring an unassisted goal at 33:46 in the game. 

• Bryn Mawr's Leya Patel found the game sealing goal at the 39:41 mark, scoring the game winner. 

Inside the Box Score 

• The River Hawks tallied 11 shots in the game, with nine shots coming on goal. The second frame proved the best for SU, tallying six shots in the quarter. 

• SUFH earned three penalty corners on the afternoon, earning one corner more than their opponents.  

• Tayum Lombardi earned five save during the game, allowing only two goals to find the back of the net.  

• Taylor Rothermel led all shooters during the game, tallying six shots, with five shots hitting the target.
