SCRANTON, PA - Susquehanna field hockey dropped Saturday afternoon's Landmark Conference opener to the University of Scranton by a 5-1 score in a rematch of the Landmark finalists the last two seasons.
How it Happened:
- The Royals scored early, jumping out to a 1-0 lead less than four minutes into the match.
- Isa Napoli scored late in the first frame to knot the game at 1-1 heading into the second period of action.
- Scranton went on a run during the remainder of the match, scoring two goals in the second frame, to take a 3-1 lead into the half.
- The Royals came out hot in the second half, scoring the games final two goals, both in the fourth quarter of play, to win the game 5-1.
